My winter Italy

Destination: Venice, Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Rome
Date: Feb 2010
For those who played xbox’s Assassin’s Creed 2, Italy is a place where fans will want to visit. It was supposed to be a solo trip, until my wife decided to join me at the very last minute. We went to various cities of Italy…..without agenda, without prior hotel booking (we book on the spot). Train tickets were bought on the day of departure…..to unknown cities. Here are some snaps using Pentax K-x.

Seeing this Leaning Tower of Pisa makes me super excited!!!
4th stop : Lucca
The whole town is surrounded by fortress!!!
5th stop : Rome

I’m back from my Paris shoot and Italy vacation. It was a very memorable trip…shooting a Paris winter prewedding at minus 3 degrees is no joke. Three cheers to my brave couple, Tina and Raoul who pulled through the 2 days of shivering cold. Here are some of my favourites :

Today is Yang’s first day of school. A new milestone entering into a new world of primary schooling. He was happy parading his new primary school uniform asking me does he look handsome? Yes, indeed!!!
Singapore Tatler’s The Best of Singapore in Wedding Photography 2010

Dears friends,
I remember the day I became a father. Calling it a major milestone in my life would be an understatement, as then I called the day that Yang was born as my proudest moment. But then, when Jay was born I also deemed it another of the proudest moments in my life.
But I think it is more appropriate to say, that each day, each moment, each experience shared is another milestone – from Yang’s kindergarden graduation, to Jay’s first stage performance in pre-K. And these ‘proudest moments’ never end.
Today I am happy, proud and honoured to announce that Gabriel Mendes Photography has been awarded Singapore Tatler’s The Best of Singapore in Wedding Photoography 2010. And this is another great moment that has happened in my life.
It’s been a superb year and I’ve been thrilled to have been abled to witness and document your most special day. Without your trust and support, I wouldn’t be able to be where I am today. So here’s to more ‘proud moments’, including yours, in the new year.
